The Colorado Society for Respiratory Care takes pride in advancing the profession in the State of Colorado. In further promoting outreach, the society has biannual grants available to deserving AARC members working on projects that benefit lung health in the community. Grants will be awarded based on application to fund initiatives such as patient and practitioner education, process implementation, and humanitarian projects.
Humanitarian/Community Grant - For humanitarian good will trips that promote the profession of respiratory care. Disaster relief etc..
Research Grant - To stimulate original research contributions by respiratory care practitioners to the body of knowledge comprising respiratory care.
Patient Education Grant - For respiratory care centered patient education projects.
Dissemination Grant- Grant may be used to sponsor speakers, purchase supplies, pay to rent meeting facilities, admission and or travel to conferences or other activities to help with the dissemination of information related to studies or projects in the field of Respiratory Care.
Application deadlines will be March 1st and August 1st of each year. All applications will be reviewed by the board and awarded by merit. If you are chosen to receive the award, you will be notified within 30 days of the specified deadline.
These grants may have tax implications to the recipient. This will require you to provide the society with a Tax ID (Social Security number for individuals). Depending on the circumstance and filing requirements, an information tax form (i.e. 1099) may or may not be issued from the CSRC. In any case, we recommend that all recipients consult with their tax advisor to ensure compliance with IRS regulations.
The Colorado Society for Respiratory Care Grants Committee, working in cooperation with the Colorado Society for Respiratory Care Board of Directors is currently accepting nominations for appointment to your CSRC Grants Committee.
As described in the committee charter, members shall manage all operations related to the issuing and distributions of grants from monies obtained by The Colorado Society for Respiratory Care and others who wish to donate or sponsor specific grants from time to time. The general purpose of this committee is to work in partnership with the CSRC Board of Directors to promote the educational, research and humanitarian aspects of respiratory care in the state of Colorado and abroad.

Qualified applicants must possess:
Active AARC membership
Ability to meet quarterly meetings
Future leader skills
Willingness to promote the financial generosity of our state society in the community
